Washington County’s First Birding Website

Hello friends,

Today we launch the only blog devoted to the birds and birders of Ohio’s Washington County.  Located in the extreme southeastern region of the state, bordering West Virginia, Washington County offers many excellent birding opportunities.  From the meadowlarks of our rural farmlands, to the bald eagles of our river valleys, to the cerulean warblers of our deciduous forests, there is a vast array of avian diversity just waiting to be discovered.  This blog is intended to function as a tool to direct birders of all levels to useful information on where to find birds, from the seasonal residents to the passing rarity.  So please check back often for updates, maps, photos, and news on the birds of Washington County.  Got a question or comment?  Please email us at kycarlsen@gmail.com.
